You may be wondering why the names on our blends are how they are?

We decided that each blend was full of flavour notes that could actually be attributed to some of the characteristics of our pets. We love dogs, why wouldn't we want them to be a part of our adventure. So dog's past and present are currently of our blends.

Our Blends & Characters

Billy's Blend

Billy was a beautiful Dachshund of my mother-in-laws who adored both myself and my daughter. He followed us everywhere licking our feet as we went, chestnut coloured, stubborn and playful, he is our decaf coffee. A very different decaf to most with loads of dark, rich flavour and full body.

Ralph's Blend

Our very first dog was Ralph, a shiny golden Labrador who was the most loyal and loving companion you could possibly have. He was Crispin's best friend, went everywhere with him, to work, the pub and on bike rides. Ralph is our smooth operator, small and perfectly formed, he was a gentleman among canines.

Charlie's Blend

Never enjoying the odd time we had to leave Ralph on his own, we thought he would be happier with a buddy. So we then added Charlie, a shiny black Labrador who looked like a bear. He was called 'Homeless' because he was the last of the litter that hadn't been taken. Homeless became my daughter's dog and she named him Charlie. Charlie wasn't quite as sharp as Ralph, but equally adorable, had velvety soft ears and loved fetch, especially useful as a cricket fielder! 

Bo's Blend

After Ralph had passed, our good friend then had another litter from Charlie's Mummy and we added Bo, our first female black Labrador to the pack! Bo was my best friend, she was literally a human in a canine body and knew when you were sad but was full of life, darting off regularly on her beloved walks. We lost her very suddenly last year, it's been a huge loss, she is of our most loyal blends and our personal favourite.

Oscar's Blend

Our fourth dog was Oscar, I had always wanted a cream cockapoo with a white chest and Oscar was Crispin's 41st birthday present. He was Crispin's dog, loyal, extremely photogenic and a very popular puppy in the pub! Oscar loves cuddles and will continually paw for more! Oscar is our diva dog who is very spoilt, hence why his name is on our rich, dark blend.

Bertie's Blend

Lastly, we added Bertie to our family! I saw a photo of a beautiful golden cocker spaniel online from a lady down the road and he was one of the best, sudden and last minute decisions we have made. After he joined our household, we lost both our black labs and without Bertie, Oscar would have been alone. He makes us laugh every minute and is my daughter's best friend, chasing her round the house playing hide and seek and as the blend suggests, he is always on the go. Good for a pick me up and our fruitiest blend!

Etoile's Blend

Etoile is an honorary dog, she was actually a rabbit! A beautiful black, lop eared, silky and smooth hop along with a brown tummy, perfect for the spiced blend with fruits and a rich crema.
