Spanish Latte Recipe
During a recent day out in London I was feeling sluggish and decided to pop into the nearest café to get a quick caffeine kick before carrying on with my day. The menu included a Spanish latte which I hadn’t heard of before, so I decided to try something new. I have to say this was one of the nicest styles of coffee I have ever tried. To me it was the perfect level of sweetness, sweeter than a usual latte but not as sweet as a latte with vanilla or other syrups. This sweetness was subtle and didn’t overpower the flavour of the coffee.
Recipe:
250ml milk of choice
75g condensed milk
2 shots of espresso
Ice (if having cold)
Heat your milk how you usually would.
Pour the condensed milk into the bottom of a glass and pour the heated milk over the top and stir well.
If you’re having this as an iced drink, then fill the glass with ice.
Top with your freshly poured Derwent and Dunne coffee and enjoy.
I recommend Charlie’s or Oscar’s blend for this recipe as a darker roast is preferred.
